Michela Crisostomi was born in in Terni 1976, where she currently lives and works.
She got a diploma at the Art institute O. Metelli in Terni, and after she graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence.
Collaborating with various art galleries, in the last period she has exhibited her works of art in several art fairs in Italy and overseas.
Her painting style is based on a figurative poetic where female bodies and faces prevail.
She depicts sensually naked female bodies, in a softly plastic structure, pervaded by subtle eroticism that interacts with a background worked with stucco and resins, scratched plaster, in which you can also find metal residues.
Her figures are to be interpreted as new “findings”, in fact they are painted on irregular surfaces that resemble old walls. It seems they belonged to another space or another time or if they had been trapped, lost and immersed in a space without air.
