Nico Vrielink was born in 1958 in Reusel. The desire to become an artist has been in his blood since childhood. His parents saw this in him and therefore enrolled him at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk. After graduating, he went to the Hogeschool voor Beeldende Kunsten in Eindhoven. There he developed his characteristic style, which makes a Nico Vrielink painting easy to recognize.

After graduating, Nico Vrielink wanted to see something of the world, so in 1985 he boarded a plane to Singapore. A good move, because that's where he met his wife Jeane. It was love at first sight. She became his wife and his muse. She is the subject of more than 4000 Nico Vrielink paintings.
