Bio

 

Guntars Sietins ( 1962) is one of the world's well-known masters of Mecotint, published a book on the Mezzotint technique. Now Professor, Head of the Department of Graphic Art at the Art Academy of Latvia. Graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia ( 1988).

International awards: Prize at the 4th International Mezzotint Festival, Ekaterinburg / Russia ( 2017); Award at the Krakow International Print Triennial, Poland (2009); Purchase Prize at the 15th Space International Print Biennial, Seoul ( 2009); The 1st Prize at the 1st Printmaking Triennial, Thessaloniki, Greece ( 2008); Jury’s Encouragement Prize at the Aomori Print Triennial, Aomori / Japan ( 2007) etc.
