Rust #63

Roberta Ubaldi / Rust #63

"Rust, this derogatory term, which I transform into an image of beauty! I love the light lines that are embroidered on the metal surface, those warm colors, that perfect metaphor of the change that time exerts on everything.

The choice of iron sheet, its change accelerated by my intervention and partly driven by the material I put into contact, are the perfect visualization of the transformation."

Size: 40 cm X 40 cm
Period: 2020

Bio

Roberta Ubaldi was born in Terni, now she lives and works in Narni Scalo (Tr).

She graduated in the "O. Metelli" Art Institute, in Terni.

She develops and affirms a personal way of painting that distinguishes and identifies her, after having investigated classical techniques.

Her works are unique and extremely thoughtful, the eighth notes are reduced and the expertise is great.

The continuous research for different materials has currently led her to use iron sheets in which the oxidation created by time exceeds the status of mere support to become an essential part of the painting.

Love for the human body leads her to representations that, starting from a still deliberately figurative matrix, seem to want to hide within a web of oxidations.
