Born in 1961 (Venezuela)

Born researcher; Painter and sculptor, he took up the profession from a very young age. His theme focuses on the figures of the horse and later on that of the bull. He manages to synthesize and create a form that is very much his own and that has distinguished him since his beginnings. In the evolution of his paintings, his “Eqqus” become elegant, voluminous and precious representations, which through his brush, trace back the plastic beauty that characterizes them. With an undeniable disposition for drawing, he achieves a perfect harmony between lines, color and shapes. Nieves internalizes the image of the horse, out of his own conviction, after having been investigating the landscape properties, and without abandoning it, he develops his fighting bulls "Taurus", masterful figures of great expressive force that manage to capture the attention of the viewer. His works can be found in galleries and private collections in many countries.
